Purpose of the role:

A vacancy has arisen in Arkphire Ireland for a Network Engineer. We are looking for high-performing Network Engineers to join the network team, primarily working on the support desk.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support for solutions/products installed in our customers, assisting with new/existing projects, client healthchecks, and documentation as required.

Our Engineers deliver effective technical customer support to our growing customer base, providing solutions to both technical and non-technical end users while supporting a wide range of networking technologies.

We are very interested in individuals with a proven track record of finding creative solutions to unique problems, who thrive in challenging situations.

Applicants should have the following:

• At least 2 years’ experience as a network security engineer
• Experience in Cisco security and other firewall vendors is a plus
• Minimum of Cisco CCNP Certified Enterprise or Security or equivalent
• Minimum of PCNSA – PCNSE preferable
• Experience in Juniper is beneficial
• Client-facing experience
• Excellent written and verbal English skills; good phone manner
• Understanding of routing protocols and switching in Cisco products
• Certifications and specializations should be kept current during employment
• Experience in web security and email security is an advantage

Responsibilities include:

• Resolving customer issues or escalating to L3 engineer as required
• Supporting clients on Cisco, Palo Alto & Juniper firewalls
• Supporting Cisco security products
• Experience with products like ISE, Anyconnect, Amp, Umbrella & Stealthwatch, WSA, ESA & Duo is advantageous
• Collaborating with the Professional Services team
• Participating in on-call duties
• Working out of hours when required
