We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Prescription Clerk tojoin our dynamic primary care team. In this vital role, you will ensure thesafe, accurate, and timely processing of prescription requests while serving asa key liaison between patients, clinicians, pharmacies, and external healthcareproviders. Youll be responsible for managing medication queries, updatingpatient records with hospital correspondence, and supporting medicinesoptimisation initiatives. Your work will directly contribute to improvingpatient care by ensuring seamless prescription workflows, resolving supplyissues, and synchronising repeat medications. Our Practice is based in March which is a Fenland market town in the Isle of Ely area of Cambridgeshire.
We are situated in a large, spacious purpose built building which accommodates our 2 Partners, 1 salaried GP, 1 ANP, 1 NP & a team of nurses/HCAs as well as an experienced administrative team

Information relating to patients, carers,colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the Practice may onlybe divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the Practice policies andprocedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal andsensitive data
PracticeProtocols:
The practice has Protocols in place forClinical and Administrative tasks, staff are required to adhere to all PracticeProtocols, it is essential that all staff keep up to date with protocols andadvise of any changes needed. Allprotocols are stored on the Practice Intranet.
Health & Safety:
The post-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining their own andothers health, safety and security as defined in the practice Health &Safety Policy, the practice Health & Safety Manual, and the practiceInfection Control policy and published procedures. This will include:
Using personal security systems within theworkplace according to Practice guidelines
Identifying the risks involved in workactivities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks
Making effective use of training to updateknowledge and skills
Using appropriate infection controlprocedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards
Actively reporting of health and safetyhazards and infection hazards immediately when recognised
Keeping own work areas and general / patientareas generally clean, assisting in the maintenance of general standards ofcleanliness consistent with the scope of the job holders role
Undertaking periodic infection controltraining (minimum annually)
