Job Description:

How you will make an impact
As our Solutions Engineer, you will consult development teams at leading global brands looking to adopt Hygraph. You will work closely with our Senior Account Executives, Head of Global Sales, and post-sales team to win new enterprise customers. Your role involves guiding CTOs, Software Engineers, and content teams on the optimal use of Hygraph in their projects. You will report directly to our Head of Global Sales. Your prior experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer, or Software Developer will help shape the future of our rapidly growing company.

This is NOT a Software Developer position, but rather Sales, with a Software Developer background. Hence, you will be part of the Sales Team.

Our Sales team focuses on generating new revenues by prospecting, qualifying, consulting, and signing new mid-market and enterprise-grade customers across industries and regions. We aim for product adoption with an enterprise offering, empowering developers and editorial teams to build with a modern stack.

What you will be working on:

  • Support the sales process from a technical perspective and present Hygraph technology and vision to prospects and customers.
  • Showcase developer functionality and how modern frameworks work with Hygraph.
  • Advise new customers on their solution approach, including initial setup, frontend choices, or third-party integrations.
  • Maintain a broad and deep technical understanding of the product roadmap and underlying technologies.
  • Conduct technical workshops, onboarding, and pre-sales activities.
  • Assist the sales team in winning new enterprise customers and earn commissions accordingly.

What we expect from you:

  • Fluent in business-level German and based in Berlin.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a B2B pre-sales engineer of an API-led software product, with a background in front-end web development.
  • Familiarity with modern application technologies (e.g., GraphQL, React, Next.js, Svelte), software development approaches (microservices, serverless), and database architecture.
  • Genuine interest in how customers build their software infrastructure and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts concisely.
  • Experience with SaaS products targeting enterprise customers is a plus.
