The Role

Our Pre-Sales Engineer designs and configures solutions in close collaboration with our sales team, based on customer-specific requirements and agreed specifications. They perform testing of the configured solutions, create technical documentation, and store it in internal shared drives. The Pre-Sales Engineer supports the Solution Delivery Engineers during installations until the completion of the customer-approved solution.

What you will do :

1. Design application solutions based on customer feedback and requirements, utilizing our product portfolio.
2. Use Standard Solution Packages as the starting point for configuration or project engineering on all customer projects.
3. Manage the demand process for special items (non-MI standard parts) with local suppliers.
4. Provide competitive price calculations based on solution requirements.
5. Verify in-house the configured solutions.
6. Build detailed design specification documentation based on project deliverables.
7. Support installation of the configured solution after customer validation.
8. Create and deliver the handoff package to the Service Delivery Team.
9. Support escalated installation, FAT, and SAT issues.
10. Install CoLOS solutions at customer sites or remotely.
11. Act as Project Manager, serving as the main point of contact for customers and internally from start to rollout and execution.

What you need to have :

1. An engineering background including PC and PLC-based systems.
2. Knowledge in Vision (product inspection) is a plus.
3. Proficiency in computer skills and aptitude for quickly learning new software tools and hardware.
4. Knowledge of the packaging industry and supply chain automation.
5. Professional demeanor that enhances customer satisfaction.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all organizational levels.
7. Ability to work in a multitasked environment.
8. Experience interfacing directly with customers is preferred.
9. Strong documentation skills are essential.
10. Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Engineering (Electrical, Software, Computer, or Automation).
11. Experience with packaging line equipment, preferably in pharmaceutical and/or food packaging industries.
12. Proven ability in fault finding and problem solving.
13. Knowledge of MS SQL Databases and ODBC.
14. Experience with PLC communication and OPC.
15. Understanding of TCP/IP, IP addressing, and subnetting.
16. Ability to generate SQL reports.
17. Fluency in English; multilingual skills are a plus.

The position involves approximately 60% travel, primarily domestic, to customer sites, possibly involving air travel.
