Are you technically strong, proactive, communicative and enjoy teamwork? Join our professional team of Application Specialists in Agilent's Life Sciences and Applied Markets Group as a Pre-Sales Application Engineer (m/f/d) for LC/MS, GC/MS, and/or Atomic Spectroscopy in Waldbronn, Germany!

You'll play a pivotal role in crafting the future of analytical instrumentation. Collaborate with other Application Specialists across our European Centers of Excellence (CoE), work closely with the Sales Team, and make a real impact by developing applications, workflows, and demonstrating our innovative Chromatography and Spectroscopy portfolio to address customers' analytical needs.

Your responsibilities:

1. Application Development: Create and/or optimize existing methods for customer samples, seamlessly transferring them to Agilent instruments. Showcase the performance of Agilent's LC/MS, GC/MS, and/or Atomic Spectroscopy portfolio to our customers at our CoE in Waldbronn.
2. Customer Engagement: Understand customer challenges, recommend tailored solutions, and ensure their satisfaction.
3. Effective Communication: Present your findings and results to customers at scientific conferences, seminars, workshops, and user meetings. Travel to customer sites for impactful presentations, method implementation, consultancy, and training.
4. Sales Enablement and Success: Contribute to designing and delivering LC/MS, GC/MS, and/or Atomic Spectroscopy technology and workflow sales training. Collaborate with our sales teams to exceed LC/MS, GC/MS, and/or Atomic Spectroscopy sales targets.
5. Market Insights: Be the go-to expert, both internally (with our product and marketing teams) and externally (with customers and key opinion leaders).
6. Cross-functional collaboration: In partnership with R&D, shape the future of LC/MS, GC/MS, and/or Atomic Spectroscopy technologies and applications, and incorporate customer requirements into upcoming products.
7. Continuous Learning: Maintain and expand critical domain knowledge by keeping up with scientific findings, market & technology trends, industry benchmarks, regulations, and competitive positioning.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

1. A master's degree or equivalent (PhD preferred) with a strong focus on instrumental analysis.
2. Knowledge and demonstrated hands-on experience with LC/MS, GC/MS, and/or Atomic Spectroscopy, its operation with a focus on applications, as well as method development and optimization.
3. Proficient in verbal and written English; German language skills would be a plus.

1. Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal, and customer-facing skills.
2. Ability to work independently on projects, whilst also collaborating as part of a team.
3. Outstanding problem-solving abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and the capacity to run multiple projects at once with efficiency and attention to timely completion.
4. Willingness to travel occasionally (throughout Europe) up to 25% of the time.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
