PR Trainee (Italian/German speaking)

Overview

We are seeking a PR Trainee (Italian/German speaking) to join our Berlin team for 1.5 years. As a PR Trainee at Babbel, you will handle various aspects of external communications. The team promotes Babbel’s brand and product stories through media relations and integrated campaigns, maintaining close relationships with key stakeholders both inside and outside the company.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Sociopolitical Studies, or Language Studies
  • Native-level or fluent in German and Italian
  • Fluent in English
  • Additional languages (especially French) are a plus
  • Strong interest in languages, technology, sociology, or culture
  • Well-informed with critical thinking skills
  • Regularly consume news from traditional (e.g., Tagesspiegel, Corriere della Sera) and new media (e.g., Instagram, Reddit)
Responsibilities
  • Research and develop press stories based on Babbel’s expertise, purpose, and offerings
  • Create, edit, translate, and adapt press releases
  • Assist in managing our German and Italian PR agencies
  • Handle media inquiries and interview requests
  • Maintain media clippings, KPIs, and OKR reports
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as linguists and social media managers
