Electric Power System Engineer - Berlin

Are you ready to power Germany's renewable energy future and make a real impact on the grid?

My client is one of the largest trading companies that have been operating since the 70s.

They are seeking an experienced Electric Power System Engineer to join their team and drive the development of cutting-edge solar PV and Battery Energy Storage (BES) projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and coordinate grid connection procedures, including load flow, short circuit, and stability analyses, to ensure seamless integration of solar PV and BES systems.
2. Prepare and manage grid connection applications, collaborating with TSOs/DSOs and securing approvals through detailed technical documentation.
3. Conduct advanced simulations and calculations to assess the grid impact of renewable energy projects.
4. Develop and maintain project schedules while managing partnerships with subcontractors and technical teams.
5. Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and training to subcontractors, ensuring compliance with German grid codes and industry standards.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Required Skills:

1. Proven experience in power system analysis and design, with in-depth knowledge of German grid codes and regulations.
2. Strong proficiency in power system simulation tools (e.g., PSS/E, PowerFactory).
3. Fluent in both English and German, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Experience working with TSOs/DSOs in Germany and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with partners and subcontractors.
