Offer Description

With around 17,000 students and 3,800 employees, the Technische Universität Braunschweig is the largest technical university in northern Germany and the oldest in the country. It is located in the city of Braunschweig, home to 250,000 residents and a city that offers a high quality of life.

In the Institute of Organic Chemistry, the research group of Prof. Dr. Christopher Teskey are looking for a motivated organic chemist with a PhD who is excited at the prospect of joining a dynamic and international team working at the forefront of organic methodology development. The role will focus on developing new synthetic methodologies with a focus on molecular editing – in particular catalytic functional group transposition.

This role is suitable either for candidates directly from their PhD or those who already have some postdoctoral experience. Candidates will develop their skills across different areas of organic chemistry, catalysis and photochemistry with the opportunity for collaboration with research groups focussed on different specialisations.

The planned start of employment is 1st September 2025. The initial contract is planned for 2 years with the potential to extend for a further year depending on individual circumstances.
