Postdoctoral Researcher in AI/ML/NLP
Position 39 h per week, initially until 14 October 2027. Further employment dependent on funding.
Your tasks
- Independent conceptualization and execution of research in analysing and improving scientific practices and data infrastructures in AI research from an epistemic and ethical perspective.
- Design and implementation of methods for improving AI models and evaluation methods/benchmarks, especially language and multimodal models.
- Critical analyses of epistemic and ethical limitations of AI systems and research practices within interdisciplinary collaborations.
- Regular publication and presentation of research results at international conferences and workshops.
- Participation in third‑party funded projects (e.g., NFDI and EOSC).
- Drafting research proposals and acquiring research funding.
- Independent teaching activities and student supervision.
- Organization of events and activities for the scientific community and the broader public.
Desired qualifications
- Interest in AI ethics, data ethics, science and technology studies, feminist philosophy of science or related topics.
- Experience in writing research proposals and successfully acquiring research funding.
- Experience in planning and conducting teaching and student supervision.
