DZNE is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to explore axon growth and regeneration. This role involves developing innovative research projects using state-of-the-art techniques. Join a vibrant international team committed to groundbreaking research in neurodegenerative diseases.
DZNE is a world-leading, internationally oriented center for cutting-edge research into diseases of the nervous system.
At 10 locations in Germany, around 1,200 employees are working together on new approaches to better understand and effectively combat diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and ALS.
That is our goal - maybe soon yours too? Become part of the DZNE and support us in realizing our research strategy!
You will address questions related to axon growth and regeneration, by investigating mechanisms that control developmental or pathological processes. How do nerve cells grow during their early stages of development? And how can these processes be reactivated so that damaged nerve cells can regenerate after a spinal cord injury? These are the key research topics of our lab.
Based on previous results and expertise of our group you will develop your own research projects and profile. You will explore and establish state-of-the-art cell culture, in vivo and microscope techniques to perform the experiments and analyse your data.
For further questions regarding the advertised position, please contact Dr. Sina Stern (sina.stern@dzne.de).
