The Institute of Molecular Systems Medicine at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main invites applications for a Proteomics Expert (postdoctoral or senior staff scientist) position within the Center for Functional Proteomics. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research in MS-based proteomics, supporting the development and application of robust quantitative proteomics workflows, maintaining state-of-the-art LC-MS instrumentation, and collaborating with interdisciplinary research teams.

Requirements

– PhD or equivalent degree in life sciences or a closely related discipline, with a focus on proteomics

– Extensive experience in experimental planning and sample preparation for proteomics from cells and tissues

– Proficiency in data analysis and operation of mass spectrometry systems (preferably Orbitrap systems) and liquid chromatography

– Familiarity with precursor and reporter ion quantification, PTM analysis tools, and programming languages such as R and/or Python

– Willingness to expand expertise in advanced proteomics methods (e.g., PRM, DIA, single cell proteomics, automation)

– Strong communication skills and ability to advise and teach proteomics workflows to collaborators
