  • Enable early detection and identification of long-term socio-economic drivers and impulses that may drive mobility demand and behaviour
  • Identify change potentials of passengers and their travel behaviour and derive how it will affect air transport operations
  • Identify and assess operational measures to enable climate neutral aviation, while considering economic implications
  • Define research needs and strategies for joined research in close cooperation with our industrial and research partners that could impact the air transport sector
  • Support the personal development of PhD students and senior researchers
  • Represent Bauhaus Luftfahrt in the field of Economics & Transportation and actively contribute to national and international working groups
We need you because:
  • You are passionate to explore the future world of aviation and strive to support the changes in that ecosystem (living the Think Tank idea!)
  • You have successfully completed your PhD in the area of economics, management or engineering with a focus on aviation, and experienced in air transport related research
  • You have expertise in leading teams of junior & senior researchers as well as projects on international scale
  • You have built up your network within science, industry and politics
  • You have good analytical, excellent communication and networking skills
  • You appreciate to coordinate multi-disciplinary, joint academic and industry projects and are interested in target-oriented tasks
  • You are proficient in German and English
