  • Focus on system identification and parameter optimization using experimental data from laboratory setups
  • Validate models through targeted measurements and structured testing procedures
  • Analyse loss mechanisms and system efficiencies under various operating conditions
  • Couple the power electronics model with electrochemical battery models
  • Support efforts towards hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) integration of the developed models
  • Collaborate with project partners and contribute to regular coordination meetings
  • Document findings in internal reports and publish results in high-quality scientific journals

Your Profile:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a strong focus on power electronics and control technology as well as a subsequent PhD in a related field, ideally involving system modelling and/or power electronic systems
  • Proven experience in modelling and simulation, with strong skills in mathematics
  • Highly proficient in Matlab/Simulink for system modelling
  • Experience with (stationary) battery storage systems is required
  • Prior exposure to HIL systems is a strong advantage
  • Independent, structured, and precise working style
  • High level of commitment and eagerness to take responsibility and contribute own ideas
  • Strong ability to work in a team
  • Good communication skills in spoken and written English; German is an advantage
