The Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine (www.bnitm.de) is the largest Research Institute for Tropical Medicine in Germany and is the National Reference Centre for Tropical Pathogens, a WHO Collaborating Centre and member of the Leibniz Research Association.
The Department of Cellular Parasitology at the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine at the “Centre For Structural Systems Biology” has an immediate vacancy for a full-time post-doc.
The research group under the direction of Prof. Dr. Tim Gilberger is investigating the biology of the malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum.
We are looking for a motivated person with an interest in structural and cell biological aspects of P. falciparum blood stages and wants to dissect organelle biogenesis, cytoskeleton architecture and morphogenesis during sexual differentiation. We offer a position within a dynamic research group with excellent infrastructure.
Remuneration is paid in accordance with TV-AVH (collective agreement of the Hamburg Labour Law Association) in pay group EG 13. The position is initially limited to 3 years.
