Job Description:
This role offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with teams regionally and globally across the entire L&H business. Responsibilities include:
- Act as a key partner for portfolio monitoring priorities in the German and Central Eastern European markets to identify and monitor key portfolio risks.
- Perform deep dive investigations to understand the drivers of performance and support relevant actions.
- Carry out proactive monitoring of the L&H portfolio and execute management actions, including inforce rate reviews and recaptures.
- Use data analytics and visualizations to communicate portfolio performance, highlight areas of concern, and provide insights for business decisions.
- Contribute to strategic projects.
- Analyse and interpret financial results using various valuation methods, including IFRS17, as used within Swiss Re.
About You:
- A part-qualified or newly qualified Actuary with an inquisitive, pragmatic, and commercial mindset.
- Approximately 5 years of working experience in the insurance/reinsurance market.
- Good understanding of valuation methods, including IFRS17.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret financial results and formulate actionable strategies.
- Analytical mindset with a passion for leveraging data and technology; experience with coding and data analytics tools like Power BI is advantageous.
- An independent, critical thinker with good negotiation skills and the ability to challenge constructively.
- Excellent networking skills and the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external partners.
- Fluent in German and English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus.
