Position: Specialist for Retail Lending and Lending Policies
This role is based in Frankfurt am Main at ProCredit Holding, the parent company of our banking group.
The successful candidate will join the Group Credit Risk Portfolio Analysis team, responsible for assessing and managing credit risks at the portfolio level. This includes monitoring portfolio development, analyzing sub-portfolios and concentrations, and defining credit risk management processes. The team collaborates closely with Credit Risk Assessment and Credit Risk Quantification teams within Group Credit Risk Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the group risk strategy by monitoring portfolio performance, assessing development against risk appetite, setting Key Risk Indicators and limits, and defining credit risk policies.
- Analyze the development and quality of the group and individual bank portfolios, including specific aspects like concentration, regional, sectoral, and segment development.
- Identify relevant risk drivers at the portfolio level and develop methodologies to assess their impact.
- Focus on analyzing and defining lending processes for private individuals and micro-business clients.
- Conduct analyses, prepare reports, present findings, and propose mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to credit risk control and adapt processes accordingly.
- Manage projects related to portfolio assessment, credit risk reporting, data infrastructure, and system coordination.
- Support the ongoing development of credit risk controlling processes within the team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in economics, business administration, finance, or social sciences with a minor in related fields.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the financial sector, especially in assessing customer portfolios; experience in retail lending and policy development is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and quick learning skills.
- High social competence and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work meticulously independently and in teams.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of other languages spoken in ProCredit operational countries is a plus.
