Polymer Market & Strategy Analyst (m/f/d) at the earliest date possible.
Job OverviewThe Polymer Market & Strategy Analyst plays a key role in supporting the licensing and commercialization of our polymer technologies including HDPE, LDPE/EVA, Super Absorbent Polymers (SAP) and any future polymer technology added to our portfolio.
Reporting to the Commercialization Manager, this role is responsible for helping the development of the overall business strategy in collaboration with Sales, Technology Management, Operations and R&D, based on a dynamic strategic analysis. While focusing on market and customer needs, the objective is to define key actions, assign ownership across the relevant divisions and follow up their completion to ensure success and profitability of the Polymers Business Unit.
Details of the Role- Support successful transfer of newly acquired technologies or the ones from cooperation partners into our system, covering all divisions and fields relevant for technology sale and promotion (Marketing materials, Commercial and Technical offer development, Intellectual Property aspects, Process Design Package preparation, Lifecycle services)
- Contribute to strategic analysis performance, e.g. SWOT Analysis, fed by all stakeholders of the Polymers BU and derive strategic actions to be performed to secure Lummus' success and profitability, including sales/prospection actions, marketing plan preparation, technical developments and partnerships, business model development, sustainability strategy
- Ensure consistency and timely completion of strategic actions and commercial practices across the various geographical regions
- Conduct research on market trends, competitor landscapes, and customer needs
- Take part of tactic definition for key bids preparation in collaboration with Sales and Technology Management, and support Lummus stakeholders involved in the sales process
- Support in the preparation of marketing documents and manage Lummus’ brand through coordinated sales and marketing efforts
- Develop general elevating sales messages (from micro to macro level)
- Support Technology Management in commercial aspects of partnerships/alliances
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise- Suitable Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in a commercial, business development, or licensing-related role in the polymer industry
- Technical background in polymer technologies and/or products
- Strong technical-commercial mindset with excellent analytical skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in sales techniques, negotiation, and skilled in network animation
- Entrepreneurial and team spirit, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills
- Long-term vision, stamina and patience
- Able to manage multicultural environment while displaying transversal management skills
- Fluency in English is required
