Polarion System Administrator (BRE/OPF) (m/f/d)

We are seeking a highly skilled Siemens Polarion Expert to join our team and play a pivotal role in advancing our systems engineering capabilities. The ideal candidate will support engineering teams in effectively utilizing Polarion ALM, lead the customization of the platform to meet company needs and manage the migration of legacy data from IBM DOORS to Siemens Polarion.

Your Tasks

Systems Engineering Support:

• Provide hands-on support and training to systems engineering teams using Siemens Polarion
• Ensure effective use of Polarion across project lifecycles (requirements, verification, change management, etc.)
  

Tool Customization & Administration:

• Customize Siemens Polarion to meet internal processes and project requirements
• Develop extensions, scripts, and reports within Polarion as needed
• Administer user access, permissions, and project structures
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define workflows, templates, and configurations

Migration from DOORS to Polarion:

• Lead and execute the migration strategy from IBM DOORS to Siemens Polarion
• Ensure accurate mapping of requirements, traceability, and historical data preservation
• Validate and verify migrated data and adjust as needed

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including systems engineering, software, QA, and IT
• Create and maintain technical documentation related to configuration, migration processes, and best practices

Your Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Siemens Polarion ALM (administration and customization)
• Experience supporting systems engineering teams in a regulated environment (e.g., automotive, aerospace, medical, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with migration projects, especially from IBM DOORS to Polarion
• Strong understanding of requirements management, traceability, and lifecycle processes
• Proficiency in scripting (e.g., JavaScript, Velocity, XML) for tool customization
• Familiarity with data migration tools and scripting for requirements transformation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and stakeholder communication abilities

Nice to have:

• Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and processes
• Knowledge of standards such as ISO 26262, ASPICE, or similar
• Background in systems or software engineering is a plus
