Job summary

WhyBrilliant is seeking a (Senior) Platform Engineer to own and evolve our infrastructure, focusing on developer experience and with hands-on opportunities in AI systems.

You will design and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure with Terraform, scale Kubernetes, and improve CI/CD pipelines for rapid, safe deployments. The role blends hands-on work with an AI-first product approach and flexible, hybrid work from Berlin.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in DevOps, SRE or platform engineering roles.
• Deep expertise in AWS.
• Proficient with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes (deployment, networking, scaling, troubleshooting).
• Strong sysadmin fundamentals (Linux, networking, storage, configuration management).
• Comfortable with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and time-series databases (TimescaleDB, Prometheus).
• Clear communicator who collaborates effectively across engineering and data science teams.
