MicroPyros BioEnerTec GmbH

(www.micropyros.de) is a startup company that develops biotechnological processes for the production of green gases. Its core competence is the cultivation and selection of high-performance microorganisms for biological methanation.

MicroPyros is working on the development of efficient process technologies from laboratory to industrial scale. In cooperation with the parent company Pietro Fiorentini (www.fiorentini.com), complete systems are designed, built, and optimized for installation in Germany and internationally.

With the aim of further supporting the development of our technologies, we are looking for a Plant Technician at our location in Straubing, Germany.

Position Description

1. Junior level position;
2. Full-time (40 hours per week);
3. Monitoring of biological methanation production processes;
4. Operation, repair, and maintenance of an experimental biological methanation plant;
5. Maintenance of service documentation;
6. Tracking service intervals from technology providers;
7. Scheduling and coordinating work from service providers;
8. Preparing the plant for experiments with chemicals and biological inoculum;

Your Profile

1. Ideally successful qualification as a machine and plant operator, chemical technician, or in a skilled trade (e.g., mechatronics technician, electrician, metalworker, mechanic, or similar);
2. At least 2 years of experience;
3. Independence, proactivity, flexibility, and commitment;
4. Good MS Office skills;
5. Ability to perform work with a high level of safety awareness;
6. Willingness to work with flammable, explosive, and toxic gases;
7. Ability to work in a team;
8. Proficiency in technical English (reading and speaking);
9. German language skills are highly advantageous;
