Job Description:

Entity: The entire German market and neighboring countries are supplied with odorants for natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas by Arkema GmbH, Vastorf branch. Customers in Germany are guaranteed a free nationwide collection and delivery service for containers. The plant, designed in July 2000, enables the filling of THT (tetrahydrothiophene), the most widely used natural gas odorizing agent in Germany, and also produces mercaptan and THT/mercaptan mixtures marketed under the name Spotleak. Another specialty is odorants for liquefied petroleum gas, known internationally as Vigileak.

Your Tasks:

The main tasks involve managing the Vastorf facility, near Lüneburg. You will lead a team of five on-site and also handle sales activities.

Plant: Ensure profitability by managing fixed costs, controlling budgets, and overseeing technical improvements and capital investments.

Sales: Grow margins on variable costs, ensure Arkema products are recognized as standard, and maintain strong relationships with customers and professional associations.

Your Qualifications:

• Strong technical skills with a chemical engineering background (MSC level), including safety, environment, asset reliability, fixed costs, capital investment, and employee development.
• Excellent relationship skills for managing partnerships with distributors, accounts, and authorities.
• Good negotiation skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changes.
• Fluent German and English; over 3 years of experience with similar products or in gas distribution industry.
