The IT department is responsible for and designs the entire IT of the City of Munich. We ensure that IT provision meets the city's current and future needs. What you can expect

The Site Planning service area acts as a municipal planning and engineering office for the network and telecommunications sector. It plans and installs information and telecommunications systems such as LAN, WLAN, classic telephony and Voice-over-IP solutions. It provides support for IT projects and performs special conceptual, cross-departmental tasks. The service division provides the departments and in-house operations with engineers for construction and IT projects. As a planning engineer for network and communication technology, you will independently plan, organize and manage the IT infrastructure area for projects of varying complexity. In construction projects, you will support the local construction management and construction supervision of construction and installation services awarded to third parties. You will be responsible for the acceptance and controlling of the services you contract out. You will also carry out life cycle measures independently and act as a point of contact for users, service providers and other internal technical stakeholders. In the case of internal relocations within the city, you will be the contact person for the IT relocation and the adaptation of TC / VoIP, WLAN and local networks. You will use standard and LHM's own software tools to plan and document the ICT technology.

You have

  • a successfully completed university degree in computer science, administrative informatics or business informatics or
  • a successfully completed university degree with professional experience in the IT sector or equivalent skills and experience

In particular, you will have

  • Specialist knowledge of network planning with regard to current passive and active network structures, network technology, topologies and network protocols.
  • Specialist knowledge in the field of modern telecommunications technologies (VoIP), in the awarding, coordination and controlling of services, as well as in the planning of telecommunications systems
  • Ability to cooperate and deal with conflict

The following are an advantage

  • Experience in the management of IT infrastructure projects or relevant certifications (e.g. IPMA Level D)
  • Experience in the Cisco and Unify environment
  • Experience in the creation of framework agreements
