For our development team in Lingen (Ems) or Osnabrück, we are looking for a Physicist as Data Scientist / Algorithm Developer in the field of Eddy Current (all genders welcome).
Data science involves extracting knowledge from data using modern tools such as big data, high performance computing, and artificial intelligence, especially deep learning. Responsibilities
- Develop algorithms for object detection and classification from data collected by our pipeline inspection devices.
- Co-design and utilize technological trends in artificial intelligence, high performance computing, data persistence, and big data solutions.
- Collect, prepare, process, and analyze large heterogeneous data sources.
- Develop algorithmic methods in signal processing, machine learning, and computer vision, including using third-party components.
- Provide algorithms and intelligent services as minimum viable products focusing on customer experience.
- Collaborate across disciplines to integrate algorithms into our software applications.
Qualifications
To join the ROSEN family, you are a team player with an independent and structured work approach. You should have:
- A degree or doctorate in physics.
- Strong knowledge of applied mathematics (linear algebra, optimization, stochastics).
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java).
- Methodological skills in data mining and machine learning, including supervised and unsupervised learning.
- Experience in algorithm development for analysis and forecasting.
- Basic knowledge of non-destructive testing using eddy currents and interest in explainable AI, MLOps, and statistics.
- Experience in software engineering is a plus.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
