Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center seeks a physician to provide professional services to its patient population, including assessment, treatment and care management. The role supports input into budgets, planning, and staff recruitment to strengthen care delivery in the practice location.

The physician will participate in quality programs, teaching and community activities, with after-hours calls as needed and a commitment to equal employment opportunity and compliant care.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional services to the hospital’s patient population including assessment, treatment and management of care.
• Assist with input into budgets, capital expenditures, strategic planning and marketing for the Practice Location.
• Assist with staff selection, supervision and evaluation.
• Participate in recruitment of additional physicians to the area served by the Hospital.
• Participate in utilization management, quality improvement, patient satisfaction programs and committees.
• Participate in teaching or community benefit programs as requested.
• Participate in after hours and on call coverage as indicated for patient care and practice needs.

The Physician will:

• 1.Provide professional services to the Hospital's patient population (including but not limited to assessment, treatment and management of care) and assure continuity of care for those patients assigned to Physician. The professional services provided shall be consistent with the requirements in place at the time for all applicable federal, state and local regulatory entities (including, without limitation, The Joint Commission).
• 2.As may be reasonably required by the Hospital, work with designated Hospital administrators to provide input into the Practice Location's budgets, capital expenditures, strategic planning and marketing.
• 3.As may be reasonably required by the Hospital, assist with the selection, supervision and evaluation of the Practice Location's staff.
• 4.As may be reasonably required by the Hospital, assist the Hospital in recruitment of additional physicians to the area served by the Hospital.
• 5.Participate in utilization management, quality improvement, patient satisfaction programs and committees as may be reasonably requested by the Hospital.
• 6.Participate in such teaching or community benefit programs or other activities as may be reasonably requested by the Hospital from time to time.
• 7.Participate in after hours and on call coverage as may be indicated for patient care and practice needs.
• 8.Provide and perform such other services as may reasonably be requested by the Hospital from time to time.
