Jobbeschreibung

Your mission

Drive yield improvement and production excellence in thin-film lithium niobate photonics through data-driven design of experiments, defect reduction, hands-on process expertise, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Begin by acquiring in-depth, hands-on knowledge of our integrated photonics fabrication process based on thin film lithium niobate technology
  • Identify potential yield-limiting defect sources; define an aggressive defect reduction roadmap; own the results
  • Use statistical process control principles to sustain production line health and prevent defect induced excursion events
  • Work with fabrication engineers and developers to identify and eliminate process and station defect sources
  • Design and execute experiments; interpret and extract insightful results from complex data sets to implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Install, qualify and sustain inline inspection and review equipment to expand capability for inline defect detection
  • Collaborate effectively with integration and process organization partners to identify technology gaps and deficiencies, evaluate and qualify mitigation and continuous improvement solutions

Your profile
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or Chemistry related fields
  • Hands-on experience with mixed microfabrication processes and cleanroom methods
  • Experience in metrology techniques such as SEM, AFM, and thin film characterisation
  • Knowledge of industry standard approaches for yield and quality management will be beneficial
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams from diverse backgrounds
  • Very good language skill in English, both written and spoken; German can be an advantage
  • Python skills are always welcome

Why us?
  • We hire for attitude and train for skills.
  • We encourage self responsibility and accelerate professional development.
  • We move fast and encourage experimentation.
  • You can work on hard scientific and engineering problems that push the boundaries of what's possible.
  • You have the opportunity to be part of developing breakthrough photonic computing technology and have a lasting impact on the future of computing.
  • You can be part of a passionate international, highly skilled cross functional team.
  • You will have access to the founders of the company.
