  • You will mainly be concerned with experiments at the high power laser facility Draco at HZDR to study, control and optimize acceleration processes.
  • You will apply the novel laser target concept of cryogenic sources of hydrogen or other noble gases for high-repetition rate experiments.
  • Complementary, plasma and particle diagnostics need to be used and developed.
Your Profile:
  • Completed university studies (Master/Diploma) in the field of Physics or related field.
  • You are interested in working on experiments in a laboratory; experience with optical setups and high power lasers is preferred.
  • Ideally, you have a background in accelerator, plasma, or laser physics.
  • You have an interest in the world of materials at ultra-low temperatures.
  • You enjoy autonomous scientific work as well as project activities.
  • You have excellent communication skills for working in larger international teams.
  • You have a very good command of English and can present results convincingly, both orally and in writing.
Our Offer:
