The Collaborative Research Center 1238 consists of a team of scientists working in the area of theoretical and experimental physics. Our aim is to discover, understand, and control novel collective phenomena and functionalities in quantum materials arising from the interplay of spin-orbit coupling, correlations and topology, see https://crc1238.uni-koeln.de/.

The position is available from 01.08.2025 on a part-time basis (19,92 hours per week for the first year and 29,87 hours per week afterwards). The contract is initially limited until 30.06.2028. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary will be based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
