The Dumbović Lab at Goethe University Frankfurt is seeking applications for a PhD student (experimental or computational) and a Technical Assistant to join a research project investigating RNA biology, with a particular focus on the subcellular localization of Telomerase Reverse Transcriptase (TERT) RNA.

Project Overview

– Study the regulation of intron retention and RNA localization in TERT RNA.

– Employ techniques including live-cell RNA imaging, CRISPR-based editing, and RNA–protein interaction mapping.

– Aim to identify general principles of RNA localization and function in induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells.

Requirements

– Background in molecular biology; computational expertise is advantageous.

– Demonstrated interest in RNA biology and innovative research.
