Personal Assistant (d/f/m) to the Head of Commercial Asset Management

About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated Personal Assistant to support the Head of Commercial Asset Management based in Essen. Our Commercial Asset Management team brings together more than 70 energy professionals dedicated to maximizing the commercial value of RWE’s power generation and flexibility portfolio.

Acting as the link between Generation, Trading, and Grid Business, the team combines deep market and regulatory expertise to optimise our asset fleet, develop new opportunities, and ensure commercial success across European energy markets. As part of this dynamic environment, your role will be key to supporting the team’s success.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering a full suite of first-class personal assistant services including diary, meeting management, and overall planning of internal and external meetings, forums, workshops and events
  • Planning and organizing business travel and settlement of travel expenses
  • Supporting the teams in their stakeholders management and communication
  • Providing support in writing and/or updating presentations, papers and documents for submission up to Board level
  • Preparing documents (Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint) in German and English language to tight deadlines
  • Monitoring budget control and analysis for the team, and contributing to overall cost-efficiency
  • Liaising and collaborating with other Personal / Team Assistants internally and externally
  • Developing and maintaining team intranet pages, SharePoint etc.
  • Supporting maintenance of Teams Communities and email distribution lists
  • Ordering IT and office supplies when required
  • Organisation of team events and offsites, including content to further support and grow our team spirit and culture

Job requirements and experience

  • Proven track record as a personal or team assistant, ideally in an international business organisation
  • A highly flexible, proactive and resourceful approach with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a busy environment without constant supervision and ability to prioritize and organize work effectively, ensuring excellent attention to detail
  • Strong team player with excellent planning and organizational skills, ability to work on own initiative and to proactively identify creative solutions to problems
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, SAP, or other classic administration program

Advantageous, but not essential

  • Knowledge of the RWE Group and the business of RWEST
