Avatr GmbH in Munich is seeking a highly skilled Perceived Quality Designer to join the Vortex Lab team. You will support perceived quality throughout vehicle design and development, partnering with Interior and Exterior teams to meet craftsmanship targets.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in automotive perceived quality, a strong eye for materials and surfaces, and a track record of driving quality improvements across projects. This role offers hybrid work and opportunities for global travel.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• 5+ years in perceived quality, design quality, craftsmanship, or product validation in automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of automotive materials, finishes, surface quality, lighting, ergonomics, and tactile perception.
• Experience with fit & finish evaluation, A-class craftsmanship, and surface quality assessment.
• Good understanding of automotive development and manufacturing processes and their impact on perceived quality.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to drive quality issues and solutions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.

Aufgaben

• Identify and manage key quality and value targets in line with program requirements and design objectives.
• Provide perceived quality guidance and alignment for design parts throughout development.
• Identify quality and craftsmanship problem areas, drive task forces, and coordinate effective solutions.
• Support Interior and Exterior teams in resolving main surface and interface issues, ensuring design intent and quality targets are achieved.
• Develop, maintain, and distribute best practice guidelines, and mentor teams for consistent quality execution.
• Prepare and document lessons learned to support continuous improvement and future program development.
• Provide VAVE support by contributing perceived quality perspectives to optimize design, value, and quality targets.
• Ensure A-class craftsmanship quality approval prior to design release.
• Coordinate with CMF team to align quality standards, identify issues, and support timely resolution.
