Jobbeschreibung

We’re Via, and we build technology that changes the way the world moves.

At Via, we’re reimagining public transit to make it more inclusive, sustainable, and responsive – and none of that works without our drivers. In Hannover, we operate sprinti, Germany’s largest on-demand transit service, powered by a team of 350+ dedicated drivers.

We’re looking for a People Operations Coordinator to help us support and grow that team – from day-to-day engagement and recognition to hiring, retention, and building a strong training culture. This is a hands-on, people-first role where you’ll jump in wherever needed: solving real-world challenges, supporting our drivers directly, and working closely with our local Operations and global People teams to improve how we operate and scale. If you're passionate about making an impact on the ground while building thoughtful, human-centered processes, this could be the role for you.

**This role involves working in Hannover for a minimum of 3 days per week**

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage all aspects of the employee driver journey, including issuing employment offers, registering employees in our systems, onboarding, performance management, training, disciplinary actions, leave management, and offboarding.
  • Be the real-time problem solver: respond quickly to onsite issues, driver concerns, or operational blockers as they arise.
  • Serve as a go-to point of contact for frontline employee support and questions: create a safe and respectful environment where employees feel heard, valued, and empowered; produce necessary documents for them; and keep our records up to date and compliant.
  • Drive and deliver initiatives to boost employee engagement, recognition, retention, and elevate the overall employee experience.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to enhance driver satisfaction and business outcomes —such as improving shift attractiveness or reducing unplanned absence.
  • Identify, improve, and implement scalable processes to streamline day-to-day HR operations.

Who You Are:

  • Native-level of German and advanced English (you’ll communicate with international colleagues on a daily basis and should be able to express yourself clearly and confidently in English)
  • Minimum 2 years in Customer Service, Operations, Human Resources, People Partnering, employee relations or equivalent. We encourage everyone to apply and give us a chance to evaluate your skills and experience. We are open-minded and interested to hear about the value you can bring to the role and Via.
  • Comfortable with digital tools and systems (e.g. Excel), and quick to get up to speed with new platforms (e.g. Salesforce, P&I Loga)
  • Experienced in working with large hourly employee populations — a strong plus
  • Empathetic, clear and transparent communicator with sound judgement, capable of navigating sensitive situations with professionalism
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks while building scalable processes
  • A reflex for action and a strong sense of ownership: you are proactive, identify gaps in process, and propose solutions with an excitement to own implementation and feedback iteration.
  • A growth mindset and ability to adapt to an ever-changing and growing global organization.
  • Ability to work 3-5 days a week at our Hannover office and depots, where you can best support employees.

What We Offer:

  • Joining a global employer with over 750 mobility projects in 50+ countries
  • Becoming part of a company that was awarded for its commitment to social good
  • 30 vacation days a year
  • Urban Sports Club membership
  • A beautiful office in the heart of Hannover
  • The opportunity to truly have a positive impact on a large employee group and local communities
  • Salary Range: €40,000-55,000 per year. Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills.
