Jobbeschreibung

About the Role:

We’re looking for a hands-on and adaptable People Operations Coordinator to join our People team in Berlin and support our DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). This role is perfect for someone with a couple of years of HR experience who is eager to learn, loves solving problems, and thrives in a dynamic, international environment.

You won’t be doing payroll or taxes yourself – instead, your job will be to make sure all the necessary data is accurate, complete, and ready for our external payroll partner. You’ll play a key role in keeping our HR processes running smoothly and ensuring a great employee experience from onboarding to offboarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage employee data and documentation in BambooHR (our HR system), ensuring it’s always up to date and compliant.
  • Prepare and submit all relevant data for monthly payroll processing (e.g. working hours, time off, contract changes), working closely with our external payroll/accounting partner.
  • Coordinate and support all administrative aspects of the employee lifecycle: onboarding, contract management, probation periods, parental leave, and offboarding.
  • Be the first point of contact for employees in the DACH region for HR-related questions, policies, and processes.
  • Ensure our HR documents and processes are aligned with local labour law and company policies – together with the wider People team and our legal advisors.
  • Collaborate closely with the central People team to improve and standardise processes, and provide administrative support to recruitment when needed (e.g. scheduling interviews, creating offer letters).
  • Support various People projects across the DACH region – from engagement surveys to policy rollouts and events.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • You bring at least 2 years of experience in People Operations, HR Administration or a similar role – ideally in a fast-paced, international setting.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with a structured approach to your work.
  • Comfortable in dynamic environments where priorities can shift quickly, and proactive in driving improvements.
  • Fluent in both German and English at a C1 level – you communicate clearly and confidently across teams and hierarchies.
  • Known for your reliability, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information with care.
  • Familiar with common HR tools and systems – experience with BambooHR is a plus.
  • You are Berlin-based

Benefits

We’ll treat you with:

  • Flexible Working Model: 3 days office, 2 days home office - full flexibility

  • Flexible working hours: Core working hours 10:00-16:00 - the rest is flexible
