RESPONSIBILITIES

Our unit Agricultural Solutions Expert Services provides high-quality services to units within the Agricultural Solutions operating division of the BASF group. We are a multicultural team and our team members have diverse backgrounds ranging from chemistry and biology to data science and business management.

• Within our unit, you are responsible for the disciplinary leadership of a global team from 15-20 members.
• Thereby you are responsible for the agreement of goals as well as the regular assessment of work performance via continuous feedback.
• Furthermore, you promote the interest of your employees and support them in their personal and professional development.
• Your enthusiasm for innovative topics, such as sustainability and digital agriculture, as well as your entrepreneurial understanding, e.g. in Sales & Marketing, will help you to ensure excellent service delivery in your team.
• You will have a close relationship with our internal partners, e.g. in Marketing, as well as with other BASF units, ensuring efficient stakeholder management and clear priorities in service delivery.
• In close cooperation with the management team, you contribute to the strategic development of the department and support the steering of the department through regular reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

• degree in the field of business or similar
• first relevant professional experience as well as first experience in managing remote or virtual teams o experience in agricultural sector is an advantage
• know-how in optimizing internal processes and structures as well as in projects for the continuous improvement of business processes
• strong communication skills in English, German is a plus
• high customer, service orientation and open as well as motivating way of leading employees
