About the Job

Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!

We are searching for a People Data Analyst to create meaningful, scalable data solutions that will provide our People team with the insights they require to support every step of the employee experience. You will be in charge of our people data tools, delivering automated reporting and intuitive dashboards that allow for smarter choices across the employee lifetime. This is a builder position, suited for someone who enjoys technical challenges, transforming complicated data into powerful tools, and going under the surface to address the true problem.

If you're interested in scaling up and working with an excellent people team throughout a period of maturation, this may be the position for you! We've spent the last few years establishing new systems and procedures; now comes the exciting part: putting the data together to create tales throughout the recruitment and employee lifecycles!

This is a full-time position that can be held at one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you’ll do at Figma:

  • Develop and manage dashboards and analytics tools spanning the employee lifecycle, providing the People team and business leaders with timely, actionable insights.
  • Leverage SQL to extract, clean, and organize data from various People systems, ensuring it is well-structured, accurate, and ready to support reporting, dashboards, and analytics across the employee lifecycle.
  • Create, oversee, and refine a centralized metrics library to define and standardize key people metrics across the employee lifecycle, enabling consistent reporting and analysis.
  • Own and manage the self-service reporting experience in platforms such as OneModel and Tableau, ensuring stakeholders have access to reliable, up-to-date data across the employee lifecycle.
  • Develop clear documentation, training materials, and enablement resources to help non-technical users confidently navigate dashboards and make data-driven decisions.
  • Implement feedback loops with end users to continuously enhance dashboard usability, address reporting gaps, and adapt data products to evolving stakeholder needs.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Around 5 years of experience in HR, Recruiting, People Analytics, or a related field, with hands-on exposure to People or Talent data.
  • Proven ability to write clean, efficient SQL queries independently, including manipulating fields and joining data across multiple systems.
  • Familiarity with HR platforms such as Workday, Greenhouse, Gem, CultureAmp, or similar tools, with a willingness to deepen expertise over time.
  • Experience using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or people analytics platforms (e.g., OneModel, Visier).
  • Possess a builder’s mindset—motivated by creating scalable solutions that minimize manual work and expand self-service capabilities.
  • Strong commitment to clean, accurate, and dependable data, with a track record of implementing process improvements to enhance data quality.
  • Analytically driven with a problem-first approach—able to dig beyond surface requests to uncover true business needs and deliver the right solutions.
  • Collaborative team player, skilled at partnering across HR, Recruiting, L&D, and Engineering teams to execute on strategic roadmaps.

While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

  • Experience scaling OneModel in a fast-growing context.
  • Experience writing reports in Workday.

At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
