Payroll Specialist/Manager DACH

Location: Germany or Spain (Full Remote Possible)

MISSION

As Payroll Specialist/Manager DACH you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

You'll have the opportunity to work remotely from anywhere in Germany or Spain, providing you with the flexibility to balance your work and personal life.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including data input, validation, and compliance for DACH region.
  • Compliance: Stay up-to-date with local payroll regulations and ensure full compliance with tax and labor laws.
  • Data Accuracy: Maintain precise payroll records, including employee data, benefits, and deductions.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and external partners regarding payroll-related inquiries.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee concerns promptly.
  • Reporting: Generate accurate payroll reports for management and finance teams.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve payroll processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Audit Support: Assist in internal and external payroll audits and provide necessary documentation.

QUALIFICATION

  • 3+ years of Payroll experience in the DACH region (with exposure to Germany preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, tax regulations, and labor laws in the DACH region.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a remote team setting.
  • Native German Language Proficiency: Fluency in German is a mandatory requirement for this role, as it involves managing payroll operations in the DACH region.
  • Full Professional English Level.
