Position Purpose

Support the payroll and compensation systems team by performing essential payroll processing tasks, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with various payroll-related functions. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures while providing excellent customer service to staff and faculty.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of customer service, payroll/HR processing, or related experience.
  • Understanding of payroll processes and systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Kronos, HRMS, and PASF OnBase is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of payroll software and systems.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Payroll Processing (30%): Process biweekly payroll, assist with data entry, labor changes, and resolve payroll issues.
  2. Record Maintenance (10%): Maintain accurate payroll records, update staff templates, and ensure proper documentation.
  3. Customer Support (30%): Respond to inquiries, assist with I-9 forms, and support payroll system backup.
  4. Compliance and Reporting (20%): Generate reports, ensure policy compliance, and support audits.
  5. Collaboration (10%): Work with payroll team and other departments, participate in training.
