The role centers on Performance Improvement, Operational Strategy and Operational Excellence, with close collaboration to the board and the international leadership team.

The successful candidate will develop and advise Private Equity clients and/or portfolio companies, build senior relationships across mid-cap and large-cap PE, and originate new consulting

We are supporting one of the leading international consulting firms in Performance Improvement, Operational Strategy and Operational Excellence in the appointment of a Partner to spearhead its Private Equity sector in Germany.

The firm is growing rapidly internationally, supported by significant investment following private equity backing, and has an established presence across Europe, the USA and other major global markets.

Private Equity is already an important part of the firm's client base, particularly across mid-cap and large-cap investors and their portfolio companies. This appointment will work closely with the board to develop the strategy further and lead the growth of the sector.

The Opportunity

The successful Partner will take responsibility for developing the firm's Private Equity proposition in Germany, working across areas such as:

• Value Creation
• Performance Improvement
• Operational Excellence
• OPEX and CAPEX optimisation
• Cost and productivity transformation
• Portfolio company performance
• Operational strategy and transformation

You will work directly with the firm's board and international leadership team to determine where the business should invest, which PE relationships should be developed and how the capability should evolve.

There will also be significant opportunity to collaborate internationally, including with colleagues and clients across the USA and wider global network.

The Profile

Candidates must have a senior consulting background, with experience developing and advising Private Equity clients and/or their portfolio companies.

We would be particularly interested in individuals with:

• Strong relationships across mid-cap and/or large-cap Private Equity
• Experience within Performance Improvement, Value Creation, Operations or Operational Excellence
• Strong credibility with industrial and Mittelstand businesses
• The ability to develop senior client relationships and originate consulting work
• A collaborative and entrepreneurial leadership style
• Native or near-native German language skills
• Ideally, an academic background from a leading engineering or technical university

This is a senior leadership position for someone who wants to help shape the firm's strategy rather than simply inherit an established role.
