Merittas seeks a senior leader to spearhead the development of its Restructuring and Turnaround practice in Germany. You will work with the board and international partners to define strategy, build the proposition, and position the German practice for growth.
The role requires deep restructuring expertise, senior client credibility and the leadership ability to develop and execute a practical growth plan across geographies and sectors.
Sector: Consulting – Restructuring, Turnaround, Performance Improvement
We are supporting a highly successful international consulting boutique in the appointment of a senior leader to spearhead the development of its Restructuring and Turnaround practice in Germany.
The firm has an established global presence, with offices across multiple international markets, and an excellent reputation advising senior executives, boards, shareholders and investors on complex strategic, financial and operational challenges.

Partners work together across geographies, sectors and disciplines, with a genuine emphasis on collaboration rather than protecting individual revenue streams.
For someone currently working within a larger or more internally competitive consulting organisation, this offers the opportunity to build something meaningful while benefiting from an established international platform, senior client relationships and the support of the wider partnership.
You would work closely with the board to determine:
Candidates must currently be operating at Director, Partner, Managing Director or equivalent level within a consulting firm.
This is an essential requirement for the position.
We would be particularly interested in speaking with senior restructuring professionals with experience across areas such as:
You should have strong technical credibility within restructuring and experience advising senior management teams, boards, shareholders and other stakeholders through complex performance or turnaround situations.
A strong network and existing senior client relationships would be valuable. However, the firm is not looking for a traditional pure rainmaker with a highly aggressive individual sales approach.
The priority is finding someone who combines:
The firm can offer a highly competitive senior-level compensation package, including:
