Washtenaw Community College seeks a Part Time Trainer-Programming specializing in AWS and AI technologies. The role involves delivering engaging instruction in AWS cloud services and introductory AI concepts, collaborating with stakeholders, and assisting with course marketing.
Ideal candidates will have demonstrated expertise in AWS and/or AI-related fields, with experience in adult education. Pay is $60 per hour, and flexibility is required for teaching evenings and weekends as needed.
Part Time Trainer-Programming (AWS & AI Technologies)
Deliver engaging and practical instruction in AWS cloud services and introductory AI concepts. Create or adapt instructional content based on program objectives and learner needs. Teach in-person and/or virtually in a high-quality, interactive manner. Collaborate with stakeholders including program staff, students, and community/industry partners. Attend orientation and complete required compliance training. Maintain timely communication with learners and staff. Propose new course offerings annually aligned with tech industry trends. Stay current in field of expertise and contribute to continuous course improvement. Assist with course marketing and outreach efforts. Submit required materials such as syllabi, attendance, and evaluations on time. Utilize technology, including AI-enabled tools and software where appropriate, to support the effective performance of assigned duties, enhance productivity, improve communication and information management, support decision-making, and other responsibilities, while ensuring compliance with confidentiality requirements, institutional policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Hours vary based on class schedule(s). The terms of employment are based on class enrollment.
Salary: $60 per hour.
