DUDE CHEM in Berlin is seeking a part-time accountant to handle day-to-day accounting tasks 20-25 hours weekly, collaborating with the finance team and external advisors.

You will manage monthly close, accounts payable, data quality in SAP/DATEV, compliance, expense processing, and support monthly reporting. Core hours at our Berlin office with some remote work possible once established.

Qualifikationen

• 2-4 years of accounting experience in manufacturing, food industry, or growth companies.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficient with accounting software and ERP systems; SAP/DATEV preferred; strong Excel/Google Sheets.
• Availability 20-25 hours per week; Berlin core hours with some remote work possible.
• Solid understanding of HGB, double-entry bookkeeping, and German accounting standards.
• Detail oriented, organized, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced startup.

Your mission

In this role, you’ll handle day-to-day accounting operations, working 20-25 hours per week. You'll work closely with our finance team and external tax advisors. This role is perfect for someone who wants solid accounting work without the pressure of a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Monthly Closing:Assisting the team with managing the relationship with external accounting and tax partners, ensuring the seamless and timely transfer of all required financial data and supporting documentation.

• Accounts Payable:Process invoices, manage payments and reconcile transactions. Ensure timely and accurate recording of all transactions in our systems.

• Financial Data Quality:Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in SAP, Finway, and DATEV. Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Compliance & Documentation:Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions. Support preparation of audit materials and work with external tax advisors on compliance.

• Expense Management:Process employee expense reports and company credit card transactions. Ensure policy compliance and proper documentation.

• Reporting Support:Provide data and analysis to support monthly management reporting and financial planning activities.

What you bring

• Professional Experience:2-4 years of accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing, food industry, or growth companies. Solid foundation in bookkeeping and financial accounting.

• Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• Technical Skills:Proficient with accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with SAP, DATEV, or similar systems preferred. Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

• Availability:20-25 hours per week with flexible scheduling. Core hours at our Berlin office with some remote work possible once established.

• Accounting Knowledge:Solid understanding of HGB, double-entry bookkeeping, and German accounting standards. Experience with manufacturing accounting is a plus.

• Detail-Oriented:You have a sharp eye for accuracy, catch errors quickly, and maintain high standards in your work. You're organized and reliable.

• Communication:Clear communication skills for coordinating with team members, external advisors, and vendors. Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Languages:Fluent German required. Good English written and verbal.
