Are you ready to drive digital transformation in manufacturing? The Operational Technology Manager is a strategic, business-facing role that focuses on integrating IT and OT environments, enhancing industrial automation, and improving digital operations.

This is not a hands-on engineering or operations role; it's about strategy, architecture, project leadership, and IT / OT collaboration. You’ll work closely with internal departments to align manufacturing, automation, and business goals through smart OT integration.

Location : Remote, Germany or hybrid in Barcelona, Spain

What You'll Do

• Define and drive the IT / OT integration strategy aligned with digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 goals
• Collaborate with business, operations, and IT teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical roadmaps
• Act as a project lead for OT-related initiatives, such as MES upgrades, SCADA integration, and cybersecurity enhancements
• Evaluate and guide technology selection, vendor partnerships, and system architectures
• Provide oversight across SCADA, PLC, MES, ALM, and industrial network infrastructure projects
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity policies, and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISA / IEC 62443)

Who You Are

• You have technical experience with OT systems, processes, and technologies preferred
• You understand industrial network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application lifecycle management, even if you don’t configure systems yourself
• You are comfortable leading cross-functional projects and working in environments with high availability and strict compliance needs
• Bonus if you’ve worked with digital manufacturing tools, IoT platforms, or have familiarity with MES / MOM architectures
