Job Description: Oracle DBA with Exadata Expertise

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with specialized expertise in Exadata to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and supporting high-performance databases in a critical production environment.

Responsibilities

1. Manage and support Exadata environments, including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and Infiniband switches.
2. Perform Exadata health checks, migrations, resource management, and patching/upgrades.
3. Optimize database performance through tuning and troubleshooting.
4. Implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, Data Pump, and export/import tools.
5. Maintain and administer databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control.
6. Collaborate with development teams to analyze and resolve issues.
7. Automate database scripting and processes for efficiency.
8. Participate in 24/7 global support operations.

Minimum Requirements

• 10-12 years of production support experience as an Oracle DBA, with at least 6 years on the Exadata platform.
• Proven experience managing high-capacity, high-performance databases.
• Solid knowledge of Oracle 11gR1/R2 RAC, including setup, administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Clusterware (GRID Infrastructure), CRS management, and configuration.
• Expertise in Oracle ASM and Data Guard administration.
• Strong skills in SQL, database performance tuning, backup, recovery, and migration.
• Experience with Solaris, Linux, and AIX operating systems, including shell scripting.
• Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication, coordination, and team collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of database scripting, automation, and ITIL-based change/release management.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 global support environment.
