Join our team of highly skilled customer support engineers and play a key role in ensuring seamless connectivity for our clients across Europe. As a Network Support Engineer, you'll take full ownership of resolving customer issues on Colt's Ethernet & Optical products and services, collaborating with teams across the business to deliver world-class service.

Responsibilities include:

• Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve faults across a pan-European MPLS infrastructure and Optical/Ethernet services, adhering to SLAs and providing 3rd level support.
• Participate in a 24/7 shift pattern.
• Serve as the primary contact for customer issues, providing professional support and communication.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key partners and vendors.
• Coordinate tasks with field service teams and 3rd level support.
• Maintain accurate incident records and provide updates using Colt's fault management system.
• Manage fault resolution and escalation processes.
• Identify and implement solutions for recurring network problems.
• Generate technical reports for customers upon request.
• Manage software upgrades in coordination with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications and experience required:

• Deep understanding of Layer 1-3 services and technologies, including MSP, Ethernet, DWDM systems: implementation, maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting.
• Experience with network management via GUI and CLI.
• Experience with vendors like ADVA, Ciena, Infinera, Nokia, Nortel, etc.
• Experience working with global network providers, NOC, and field support teams.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ownership mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to learn quickly and make efficient decisions.
• Formal IT qualifications such as CCNP, CCSP, or equivalent.
