Kuehne+Nagel is seeking an Operations Specialist Integrated Logistics (m/f/d) to manage daily transport operations at the customer site in Dahlewitz near Berlin. You will serve as the key contact, coordinating orders, selecting transport modes, and ensuring on-time delivery while collaborating with internal 4PL teams and external providers.

The role requires 3–5 years in logistics, fluency in English and German, and a structured, proactive work style.

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years in logistics and forwarding.
• Knowledge of airfreight and other transport modes (Road, Sea).
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to understand and execute new processes.
• Ability to fulfill time-critical tasks, keep schedules and deadlines.
• Fluent English and conversational German, both written and spoken.
• Distinct process understanding and an independent, structured way of working.

Responsibilities

• Act as main contact for the services in scope.
• Coordinate transport services for customer orders using transport management systems; handle exceptional & special transport requests.
• Select transport modes and logistics service providers to ensure on-time pick-up and delivery service in full.
• Execute administrative tasks (cost allocations, effort reporting) and prepare/send standard reports.
• Execute event monitoring and ensure delivery service; open deviation reports and take action.
• Identify root cause of deviations and propose corrective actions with parties involved.
• Escalate operational issues in time to management.
• Demonstrate ownership with pro-activity, productivity & performance.

As an Operations Specialist, you’ll be based at our customer’s site in Dahlewitz near Berlin, managing daily transport operations from order fulfillment to shipment visibility and issue resolution. As the key contact for our customer, you’ll collaborate closely with internal 4PL teams and external transport providers to deliver a seamless service experience. How you create impact

• Act as a main contact for the services in scope
• Coordinate transport services for customer orders, using transport management systems. Handle exceptional & special transport requests
• Select transport modes, logistics service providers (considering the agreed selection parameters) to ensure on-time pick-up and delivery service in full
• Execute administrative tasks (e.g. cost allocations, effort reporting) and prepare/send standard reports (e.g. document monitoring & forecast)
• Execute event monitoring services to guarantee agreed delivery service. Check and open deviation reports based on event monitoring
• Issue or receive as well as respond to deviations reported, by identifying root cause, causing party and proposing corrective actions
• Recognize and escalation operational issues impacting the service in time to your management
• Show ownership within the area of responsibility and execute tasks with expected level of pro-activity, productivity & performance

What we would like you to bring

• At least 3-5 year of working experience in the logistics and forwarding environment,
• Knowledge & understanding of at least airfreight and another transport modes (Road, Sea)
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to understand and execute new processes
• Ability to fulfil time-critical tasks, keep schedules and deadlines
• Fluent English and conversational German language skills, both written and spoken
• Distinct process understanding as well as an independent and structured way of working
