We’re seeking an efficient ICQA Operations Manager to take ownership of our fulfillment center Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA). Our fulfillment centers sit at the heart of Amazon’s rapidly growing operations network: they are where we manage our fast-moving inventory. In each fulfillment center, our teams stow deliveries, pick products, package them up, and ship them out; each of these groups has played their part in taking us where we are today. These fulfillment centers are fast-paced and high-reward environments, where adherence to policies and procedures is key. We need the right type of leader to ensure that we deliver as reliably as ever to our customers, while making sure our teams deliver on customer obsession.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Support safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all Associates
  2. Coordinate inventory control maintenance and random counts in accordance with network count strategies, ensuring compliance and consistency with SOX
  3. Measure quality, inventory integrity, and accuracy while providing proactive feedback to the operations management team
  4. Review and analyze customer complaints and defect data, followed by development of corresponding action plans to reduce future incidents
  5. Plan for and identify root causes of inventory deviation via cause and effect analysis
  6. Participate in and lead network-wide fulfillment & operations-focused quality initiatives
  7. Engage in strategic planning and forecasting, alongside assigning and directing work
  8. Lead and supervise a team of area managers and hourly associates in Inventory Control / Quality Assurance operations within the Fulfillment Center
  9. Manage Area Manager(s) in ICQA functions and drive team performance
  10. Drive process improvements and enhance team members’ ability to keep pace with our rapid growth, while motivating others and reducing employee turnover
Additional responsibilities in your FC and operations
  1. Gain expertise in key fulfillment center process paths and exception handling; ensure process discipline across all shifts and departments
  2. Review KPIs regularly and perform control and quality analysis on behaviors/processes impacting inventory integrity
  3. Collaborate with department managers on key projects, initiatives, and system enhancements
  4. Work with Loss Prevention teams to establish, influence, and adhere to policies and procedures
  5. Coordinate with Operations Managers, Senior Operations Managers, and General Managers to communicate policies related to process discipline
  6. Support in interviewing and hiring new Managers
Grundqualifikationen
  • A degree
  • Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and in the local language (German)
  • Experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
  • Experience in key areas of production and supply chains
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques
  • Experience in a similar logistical working environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to take initiative and produce results in a complex environment
  • Background in logistics and Inventory Control and Quality Assurance Management
