As a Department Manager for our picking area, you'll drive efficiency, optimize processes, and lead a dynamic team to success. With your expertise in logistics and process optimization, you’ll ensure smooth operations and set new standards in quality and performance. Ready to make an impact? About your tasks :

  1. Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team – Manage a department of ~300 employees, including shift managers, team leaders, and operational staff, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  2. Oversee Daily Operations – Ensure smooth execution of picking processes, meeting operational targets while maintaining high standards of accuracy, speed, and safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  3. Drive Process Optimization – Analyze workflows, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize resource allocation.
  4. Monitor & Achieve KPIs – Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, order accuracy, and efficiency, proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing data-driven solutions.
  5. Stakeholder & Cross-Department Collaboration – Act as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination with other warehouse departments, logistics, and senior management.

About you :

  • You have completed vocational training or a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable field.
  • You bring an entrepreneurial mindset to production and process optimization, as well as implementing efficiency improvements and driving change.
  • You possess strong leadership skills along with excellent team and communication abilities.
  • You are well-versed in key performance indicators (KPIs) and can use them to efficiently manage your department.
  • You have fluent English skills, both written and spoken and preferably you also have good German skills.
