Operations Manager – Operations Excellence
The Operations Manager – Operations Excellence will provide Operations Strategy & Leadership for our Subway Market Operations territories throughout EMEA. The role ensures that SMO Field Teams have the necessary tools, systems, reporting, and FZE support to execute the business strategy consistently and deliver performance improvements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Restaurant Excellence - Enable Execution: For the NNDACH region (and other territories as appropriate), act as the primary operations conduit to key SMO stakeholders (DFPs / HFPs). Ensure the field team has the tools, systems, reporting, and support needed to effectively execute the brand strategy and foster continuous improvement, leveraging transformational tools, data-driven decisions, and visible leadership to create a culture of performance and profit management.
- Restaurant Excellence - Primary Internal Operations Customer: Serve as the main internal Operations customer for the wider Operations team and cross-functional projects. Define clear RACI matrices to enable and empower SMO (Field Operations) to focus on operational execution and driving business performance. Promote collaboration and inclusivity to support standardization and efficient franchise support.
- Restaurant Excellence - GTM Strategy: Collaborate with regional SMEs to set standards and expectations for above-restaurant operations and develop strategies, tools, and systems for effective field team deployment to drive performance.
- Commercial Success - Profitable Restaurant Operating Model: Own and maintain an efficient in-restaurant operating model supporting FZE profitability while aligning with brand strategy.
- Commercialization: Ensure clear stage gates and accountability for projects impacting restaurant operations, providing feedback to project governance.
- FZE Support Services: Work with Franchise Services Coordinators & Operations Specialists to provide consistent support and refine processes for efficiency.
- Restaurant Excellence - Field Training Support: Collaborate with L&D leadership and SMO leadership to ensure field training meets Brand Standards and supports business objectives.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor's Degree with 5-10 years of QSR, restaurant, or food retail experience; management experience above store level with strong business acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build business cases and articulate them effectively.
- Self-motivated team player with enthusiasm and cross-functional experience.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on support.
- Experience in QSR, restaurant, or retail is a plus, but not required.
- Experience working within a Franchise model is advantageous.
