Role background

The ops team in each country is the heart and soul of Wolt. Every country team is a startup within the company. As a member of our ops, you must have a passion for getting things done and solving problems daily with your team. There will be no two days alike as you set out to build a new business in your market.

As our Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for onboarding new couriers in multiple cities and ensuring they have everything needed to provide the best quality of service throughout all stages of delivery—from restaurants to customers. You will also work with analytical tools to analyze the balance between customer orders and courier availability.

In our Operations team, no day is the same, and there's always something to do. You need to be adaptable, self-motivated, and driven to succeed. Excellent interpersonal and community-building skills are essential—service is our priority. Our operations run seven days a week across multiple cities, primarily Monday to Friday, but occasional weekend work or travel to other cities may be required.

What you'll be doing

• Ensuring a balanced level of courier partners in the focus region.
• Defining targets and creating a detailed courier onboarding plan aligned with the strategy, in collaboration with the Operations Manager and team.
• Onboarding, retaining, and growing the number of satisfied courier partners on Wolt's platform to ensure a healthy and sustainable delivery operation in Central Germany.
• Collaborating with the central team to plan expansion of the delivery area.
• Managing courier supply scheduling and daily supply levels.
• Organizing round-table meet-ups and managing off-boarding processes.
• Managing courier gear inventory.
• Driving delivery efficiency for courier fleets and cities.
