Summary

We are looking for an Operations Engineer / Technician (f / m / d) for the Facility Management - Operation Maintenance & Energy Management department in Ulm, Immenstaad, Cologne, Kiel, Oberkochen, Taufkirchen, or Wetzlar, to start as soon as possible.

The department is responsible for the operation, repair, and maintenance of technical building systems, building management systems, and energy recording systems, as well as the implementation of construction measures.

Its remit also includes providing all energy supply systems to ensure flawless and trouble-free site operation, achieving the operating results, and meeting the objectives of facility management.

Your Tasks

  • Serve as a contact person and advisor for clients (departments, building owners) regarding conversions and new builds.
  • As a project manager, be responsible for planning and developing ideas for new buildings and renovation projects, from design through to technical service during the operating phase.
  • Perform cost estimates, cost audits, and technical acceptance tests; check technical systems for warranty defects; negotiate with contractors.
  • Coordinate and supervise external service providers in maintenance and repair work; ensure compliance with legal requirements; initiate appropriate measures (facility management).
  • Assist in preparing specifications and tender documents in collaboration with internal/external departments.
  • Review internal and external planning services and correct them if necessary.
  • Supervise contractors and accept construction work.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations, including safety inspections.
  • Support external sites in technical and organizational matters.
  • Travel activity of 20-60%, depending on projects (including international).

Your Profile

  • Completed studies (. Dipl.-Ing.) in supply engineering, electrical engineering, or comparable qualifications with planning and construction management experience.
  • Several years of professional experience in an executive planning/engineering office, property management, or on the client side.
  • Proficient handling of MS Office.
  • Knowledge of measurement and control technology.
  • Initiative, independent working style, ability to work in a team, quick comprehension, and organizational skills.
  • Interdisciplinary comprehension and communication skills.
  • Fluent in German and good English skills.
