Major Roles & Responsibilities

Operational Management
Plan, organize, and supervise daily housekeeping operations for all areas of the facility.
Ensure that rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and checklists for efficiency.

Staff Supervision & Training
Recruit, train, and manage housekeeping staff, including room attendants and janitorial personnel.
Schedule and allocate tasks to ensure optimal staff coverage.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for staff improvement.

Quality Control & Standards
Inspect rooms and common areas regularly to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Address and resolve guest complaints or housekeeping-related issues promptly.
Maintain compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations.

Inventory & Resource Management
Monitor and maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest amenities.
Ensure proper storage, usage, and control of equipment and consumables.
Work closely with procurement to manage cost-effective sourcing.

Budgeting & Cost Control
Prepare and manage housekeeping budgets, focusing on cost efficiency.
Monitor expenditures and reduce waste while maintaining service quality.

Guest Experience Enhancement
Ensure that guest rooms and facilities exceed expectations for cleanliness and comfort.
Handle special requests related to housekeeping and ensure timely delivery.
Work in coordination with front office and maintenance teams for guest satisfaction.

Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure adherence to safety protocols for staff and guests.
Maintain compliance with local health, sanitation, and labor regulations.
Conduct regular safety and emergency preparedness training for the team.

Team Coordination & Communication
Liaise with other departments (front office, maintenance, F&B) for smooth operations.
Hold regular team meetings to communicate expectations and operational updates.

Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, inventory usage, and maintenance issues.
Prepare periodic reports on housekeeping performance, costs, and resource utilization.

Continuous Improvement
Stay updated on industry trends, cleaning technologies, and eco-friendly practices.
Implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency and service quality.
